Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour. It is a diverse and ever-expanding subject, with its origins tracing back to 400-500 BC Ancient Greece. There are many sub-fields, including (but not limited to) cognitive, developmental, social, clinical and forensic Psychology. Join this talk to explore the ins and outs of a career in this rewarding yet competitive field.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
The talk will be hosted by Professor Peter Langdon of the University of Warwick.
Upon completing his PhD at the Tizard Centre, University of Kent, he went on to complete a National Institute for Health and Care Research - funded postdoctoral fellowship. He has received grants worth up to £1,675,292. He has worked within secure mental healthcare services for offenders with intellectual and developmental disabilities for twenty years. Furthermore, he is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society and was awarded the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IASSIDD) Distinguished Achievement Award for Research in 2022.
